On Tuesday the 13th of September, 3/4M and 4H had a birthday party in celebration of Roald Dahl’s birthday. If he was alive he would have been turning 100. We were encouraged to bring in some food for everyone to celebrate and share, the teaches organised lots of fun Roald Dahl related party activities like getting stockings and putting handballs inside them and putting them on your head and to trying to knock over at least 9 skittles.
We also enjoyed lots of other fun party games like Pin The Nose On Mr Twit and Pin The Glass Eye On Mrs Twit. Another activity was human hungry hippo but YOU were the hippo. You had to lie down on a scooter board and one of your team mates had to push your legs to make you go while you were holding a cone and attempting to catch 1 or 2 balls; to put in your team hula hoop. This game also taught some team cooperation as 3 people from each team had to work together to capture all the balls for your team to win.
