Wow, last Thursday 3/4M and 4H went to North Broulee beach for a beach clean up for Tangaroa Blue. We walked from one end of the beach to the other. We had a plastic glove and a plastic bag to collect the rubbish we found. We picked up lots of rubbish. We came back together and everyone had a photo taken with all the rubbish that we collected. It felt good to make sure our beach is clean for everyone. By Charlie Jasmine, Gabbi, Phoenix, Shaun and I helped Mrs Hounsell sort the rubbish we collected. Mrs Hounsell and other students then logged it all on the Tangaroa Blue website.
We collected 8 kilograms of rubbish and there were lots of cigarette butts. By Ronan
The Southeast Harvest festival was a big success with lots of students popping in to say hello. With all the wonderful items the students made; paper baskets, mosaic tea lights and bookmarks and the extra items; fruit & vegetable bags, seedlings, worm poo, herb gardens and raffle, we raised $380 for the school. Yeah!!!
Stella was one of the winners in the colouring in competition. Read all about it in Super Stars. Last Friday all students from Broulee Public School walked around the school and local areas of Broulee with the intention of picking up rubbish for Clean Up Australia Day.
Clean Up Australia Day is a yearly event to walk around and pick up rubbish in your local area. There was a lot of rubbish to pick up and it feels good to clean up. We also have fun with friends while we do it. By Ziggy Last Wednesday Year 4 went on an excursion to the Botanical Gardens at Deep Creek. We went on a little walk with an interesting teacher and we had a sheet of things we had to spot while on the walk. After the walk we learnt about parts of plants and then had a chance to pot some seedlings.
It was a lot of fun even though it was VERY hot. By Phoenix and Ronan
To support the Broulee Public School team in this year's Eurobodalla Relay for Life, all students dressed in purple and donated a gold coin. All students are welcome to join the team at this year's event, walk a few laps or simply drop in and say hi. Details of where and when will appear in the scoop over the coming weeks.
