Today we made a veeerrrrry yummy ice cream. It was the best. By Daniel
This is what we learnt:
Gas was made up of fewer atoms than liquids and has no shape.
Solid have atoms that are tightly packed together and that's what gives them their shape.
Liquids have less atoms than solids and take the shape of their container.

On Tuesday 21 June our class made ice cream out of 1/2 cup milk, tablespoon of sugar and drop of vanilla essence. We put these ingredients into a small bag and zipped it up. Then in the large bag we put ice and 3 tablespoons of rock salt. We put the small bag into the big bag. We went outside and shook our bag for five minutes and 30 seconds. Hey presto we had ice cream to eat. YUM! YUM! YUM! Except Sari and Stella could not eat these as the small bag had a whole in it and the rock salt mixed with the milk. YUCK! The recipe is below if you would like to make some at home. |
